Joy in Yuen Long Application Terms and Condition

1. The “Joy in Yuen Long” mobile application (“the Application”) is jointly developed by the Local Community Economy Working Group of the Yuen Long District Council (“Working Group”) and the Yuen Long District Office (“YLDO”). The Working Group and YLDO reserve the right, at its own discretion, to revise this Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice.
2. Under normal circumstances, the Working Group will strive to ensure (but not guarantee) the truthfulness, accuracy or reliability of any material posted in the Application. In any event, the Working Group and YLDO shall not be liable to any outcome arising from the materials posted in the Application.
3. Users shall use the Application and/or access to other third-party platform through the Application at their own risk. All users are responsible for the consequences of their postings. The Working Group and YLDO reserve the right to delete any insulting, illegal, inappropriate content and/or modify any content posted on the Application without prior notice.
4. All Merchants and Users agree to indemnify and hold the Working Group and YLDO harmless from and against any claims, actions, demands, liabilities, losses and damages arising from any use of the Application or any breach of this Terms and Conditions. In any event, the Working Group and YLDO shall not be liable to any direct or indirect loss arising from the use or inability to use the Application.
5. All contents of the Application, including but not limited to the text, images, information, comments, layout, database and photos are the intellectual properties of the Working Group and YLDO. Any use of such contents other than those permitted under the Terms and Conditions by Users and Merchants is strictly prohibited, and the Working Group and YLDO reserves all its rights in this respect.
6. Except as specified in the Terms and Conditions, the Working Group and YLDO are not parties to any actual transaction between Merchants and Users.
7. The Working Group and YLDO are not an agent of any of the Merchants, restaurants or advertisers.
8. Unless otherwise specified, the Terms and Conditions and any dispute or matter arising from or incidental to the use of the Application shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China.
9. All contents of the Application, including but not limited to the text, images, information, comments, layout, database and photos are for Users’ reference only. All the postings and comments of the Users do not represent the viewpoints of the Working Group and YLDO.
